元器件交易网讯  6月9日消息，据外媒报道，SK海力士正努力提高其NAND闪存业务，该公司6月5日宣布，将收购总部设在白俄罗斯的Softec微系统公司的固件业务。

　　这是继SK海力士收购美国闪存解决方案公司五年之后的又一次收购。SK海力士此举是为了减少其对DRAM的依赖，增加NAND的销售份额。DRAM去年占总销售额的80%。

　　固件是个人电脑和移动设备的存储设备，它可作为一款控制器，控制SSD的软件。

　　固件性能的改善可以提高SSD和eMMC的性能。因为智能手机和平板电脑等移动设备的性能改善，固件的重要性也日益增长。

　　自2012年以来，SK海力士共收购四个NAND闪存相关的公司，包括2012年6月收购的意大利半导体制造商Ideaflash。

　　SK Hynix is accelerating efforts to increase its presence in the NAND flash business. The company announced on June 5 that it will acquire the firmware business from a NAND flash-related software company Softec headquartered in Belarus in Eastern Europe.

　　This acquisition will come in five years after the Korean company acquired a U.S. flash memory solution company. This move is part of SK Hynix’s bid to reduce its reliance on DRAMs which accounted for 80 percent in its total sales last year, and to increase the share of NAND in its sales.

　　Firmware is a storage device for personal computers and mobile devices. Firmware is software that controls Solid State Drive and controller, a brain of internal eMMC.

　　The improvement of firmware function leads to an improvement in performances of SSD and eMMC. The importance of firmware is growing as the performance of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets is improving.

　　Since 2012, SK Hynix has acquired a total of four NAND flash-related companies, including Idea Flash of Italy in June 2012.
