元器件交易网讯 5月23日消息，据外媒报道，在国际IC公司对可穿戴设备芯片持保守态度时，台系IC设计公司十分渴望开发芯片，包括用于可穿戴设备的定制IC。

　　三星Galaxy Gear与下半年即将发布的苹果iWatch，都刺激了中国移动设备制造商进入可穿戴市场。

　　因此2013年下半年起中国供应商一直在寻求可穿戴芯片解决方案，这也驱使台湾IC设计公司开发相关芯片。

　　联发科将在三季度生产可穿戴设备解决方案Aster，其他IC厂商也将在三季度收获可穿戴设备的额外订单。（元器件交易网毛毛  译）

　　Taiwan-based IC design houses have beeneager to develop chips, including customized IC parts, for wearable devices,while international IC players are more conservative about the prospects of thewearable device market, according to industry sources.

　　The release of Samsung Electronics' GalaxyGear and the forthcoming Apple iWatch, expected in the second half of 2014,have encouraged mobile device makers in China to step into the wearable devicemarket, said the sources.

　　As a result, the supply chain in China hasbeen seeking chipset solutions for wearable devices since the second half of2013, driving Taiwan-based IC design houses to develop related chips, added thesources.

　　MediaTek will pioneer the production of itsSoC solution for wearable devices, the Aster, in the third quarter of 2014, thesources noted.

　　Other IC vendors are expected to land somewindfall orders for wearable devices slated for debuts in the third quarter,added the sources.
