元器件交易网讯 5月22日消息，据外媒报道，尽管上周越南排华事件造成台湾工厂被打砸，但在越南的台湾制造商表示仍将按计划扩大产能，但会密切关注中越紧张关系及南海争端。

　　台系厂商在越南扩大产能，是因三星电子、佳能等客户将扩大当地业务，且越南劳动成本较中国更低。

　　由于工人工资上涨、劳工常短缺，许多台系厂商已将工厂从中国迁至东南亚。其中越南是首选，其次是印尼和菲律宾。

　　Although many of factories set up inVietnam by Taiwan-based enterprises were attacked by mobs in anti-Chinaprotests last week, Taiwan-based makers operating in Vietnam say their plans toexpand production remain unchanged, but they will keep an eye on the impact ofthe tensions between Vietnam and China over South China Sea territorialdisputes.

　　Taiwan-based makers will continue expandingin Vietnam because vendors such as Samsung Electronics and Canon, theirclients, will keep expanding operations there and labor costs in Vietnam aresignificantly lower than in China, the sources said.

　　Since wages are on the rise and there arefrequent shortages of labor in China, many Taiwan-based makers have beenrelocating factories from China to Southeast Asia, among which, Vietnam ispreferred to Indonesia and the Philippines, the sources indicated.

　　Factories set up in Vietnam by Taiwan-basedelectronics makers are mostly located in northern regions, including thoseestablished by Foxconn Electronics, Wintek, Young Fast Optoelectronics andGetac Technology, the sources noted.
