元器件交易网讯  5月6日消息，据外媒报道，2014年市场对DRAM的需求将超出预期。

　　半导体行业在去年年底预测，今年DRAM价格仍将保持疲软。因为投资者预期，电脑市场的规模将缩小，智能手机市场爆炸式增长将会减弱。

　　然而，这种境况在今年第一季度已经转变。电脑对DRAM的需求增加，因为微软停止Windows XP安全更新。智能手机市场仍保持强劲增长，三星Galaxy S5销量将超过预期。

　　考虑到第二季度并没有其它因素能增加DRAM供应量，所以供应短缺状况预计仍将持续。

　　全球第二大DRAM制造商SK海力士原先计划第二季度将29纳米生产工艺转移到25纳米。然而，这个计划将被推迟，因为无锡海力士火灾致使DRAM制造商很难增加其产能。

　　全球第一大DRAM制造商三星电子由于晶圆不足生产上出现遭遇一些困难。第三大DRAM制造商美光科技经历了库存的短缺，造成需求上涨。换句话说，全球前三大DRAM制造商仍存在供应困境。

　　The semiconductor industry predicted at the end of last year that the prices of DRAMs would remain weak this year amid expectations that the size of the computer market would contract and the explosive growth of the smartphone market would be abated.

　　The situation, however, was reversed in the first quarter of this year. The computer demand for DRAMs turned up as Microsoft halted the security updates of its Windows XP. The smartphone market also remains strong with higher-than-expected sales of Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S5.

　　Considering that there are no significant factors that would bring about an increase in the DRAM supply in the second quarter, the shortage of supply is expected to continue for the time being.

　　The world's No. 2 DRAM maker SK Hynix originally planned to shift its production process from 29 nanometers of linewidth toward 25 nm within the first quarter of this year. This plan, however, was delayed due to the fire at its Wuxi factory in China, making it difficult for the DRAM maker to increase its output.

　　Samsung Electronics, the No. 1 DRAM maker in the world, has also undergone some trouble in production due to defects in wafers. The No. 3 player Micron Technology of the United States is known to have experienced a shortage of inventories, caused by hikes in demand. In other words, all the world's top-three DRAM makers are experiencing some troubles in supply.
