元器件交易网讯 4月25日消息，据外媒报道，来自Gartner的报告显示，铿腾电子（Cadence）设计系统公司已超过包括泰思立达（Tensilica）、宇宙电路（Cosmic Circuit）在内的竞争对手，成为全球第四大半导体IP核心供应商。

　　Cadence Design Systems Inc. hasoutdistanced its competitors with its IP strategy and buyouts includingTensilica and Cosmic Circuit, emerging as the fourth largest semiconductor IPcore suppliers in 2013, according to Gartner Inc.

　　This achievement marks a milestone for acompany that had not figured in the top 10 in Gartner's 2012 ranking forsemiconductor IP.

　　Gartner reported an 11.5 per cent marketgrowth in the Semiconductor design IP in 2013, amounting to $2.45 billion.Processor licensor ARM Holdings plc had a 43.2 per cent share of design IPrevenue. Synopsys was second with 13.9 per cent and Imagination Technologiesthird with 9.0 per cent.

　　ARM continues to be the clear market leaderin semiconductor IP core licensing but its year-on-year growth was eclipsed in2013 by Imagination Technologies Group plc. Imagination's growth was partly dueto its acquisition of MIPS Technology Inc. early in the year.

　　Other notable movers included Sonics Inc.,which expanded IP core revenue by 44.8 per cent and graphics core licensorVivante Ltd. which broke into the top ten ranking. Sonics climbed to 7th in2013's ranking from 9th in 2012's ranking. Ceva and Rambus suffered falls in IPcore revenue. Ceva fell from 5th to 6th while Rambus maintained eighth positionin the Gartner ranking.
