元器件交易网讯  3月21日消息，据据业内人士透露，一些小尺寸LCD驱动IC制造商正在寻找潜在买家能够高价收购他们的工厂。一些大陆平板和半导体厂商成为这些IC制造商潜在买家，这些工厂正加紧整合生产线。

　　半年前瑞萨电子就曾提出出售旗下LCD驱动IC子公司-RSP。但直到现在这个IDM大厂尚未明确RSP买家。

　　中国平板制造商熊猫液晶显示科技公司已经成立了一个驱动器IC附属公司，而京东方科技和华星光电也表示有意步入LCD驱动IC领域。（元器件交易网    白玉涛译）

Recent market rumors have indicated that some Taiwan-based small- to medium-size LCD driver IC makers are looking for potential investors hoping to sell their plants at good prices while demand for LCD driver ICs is high, according to industry sources.

The speculation comes after Renesas Electronics put up its LCD driver IC subsidiary, Renesas SP Driver (RSP), for sale six months ago. The Japan-based IDM has yet to allocate a definite buyer for RSP.

Some flat panel makers and semiconductor firms in China have been indicated as potential buyers for Taiwan-based driver IC plants as China-based factories have been gearing up efforts to integrate their production lines, said the sources.

China-based flat panel maker CEC-Panda LCD Technology has already set up a driver IC subsidiary, while fellow companies BOE Technology and China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT) have expressed their willingness to step into the LCD driver IC sector, added the sources.
